Two foals sold for €14,000 in online auction

Several foals fetched good prices in the online auction. On the first day, the Grandorado TN filly Wirola topped the sale at €14,000, and on the second day the Kassander van ‘t Roosakker colt Kincaid AG Z achieved the same price. As in the live auction, there was strong international interest in the foals.

More than 135 foals went under the hammer at the Limburgse Veulenveiling this week, 54 of them through the online auction. On the first day, Wirola (s.Grandorado TN), bred by Coen Goumans, fetched the top price of €14,000, with a South African buyer coming out on top in an international bidding duel.

In the first part of this online auction, Kalista Z (s.Kassander van ‘t Roosakker, €13,000, Lithuania) and Chacuzzi Z (s.Chacco-Blue, €11,000, Romania) were also among the highlights, showing that the genetically interesting fillies were clearly valued. In the second part of the auction, on Friday evening, Kincaid AG Z (s.Kassander van ‘t Roosakker), out of Tinkabell 12, a Grand Prix mare under Rodrigo Pessoa, lived up to expectations. Bred by Alex Gisbertz, he changed hands for €14,000 and will continue his career with British owners. The Uricas van de Kattevennen filly Ursakilly JMD Z also proved popular and is heading to the United States for €9,500. The average price across both days was just over €6,000. Buyers from Ireland, the Czech Republic, France, Estonia, Qatar and Poland were among those who secured foals in the online edition of the Limburgse Veulenveiling.
