Limburg Foal Auction unveils 55 future talents for online sales

On Thursday, 24 September and Friday, 25 September, the Limburg Foal Auction will offer around 55 interesting showjumping foals in two online auctions. Both collections feature some real gems, including foals from the renowned damlines of H&M Extra, Beauville Z, Valentina van ’t Heike, Sapphire and Portofino. Both collections can be viewed on the website as of today.

The online auctions follow the live auction of the 26th edition of the Limburg Foal Auction. On Wednesday, 23 September, 80 foals will go under the hammer at the Peelbergen Equestrian Centre. Thanks to the exceptionally strong and extensive selection of quality foals, the organisation is able to present another 55 exciting prospects in the online auctions on the following two days.

Performance genes as a foundation
The foals in the online collections also meet the high quality standards set by the selection committee of the Limburg Foal Auction, with proven damlines forming an important foundation. The collections include foals closely related to top horses such as H&M Extra, Portofino, Apart, Carlsson vom Dach, Valentina van ’t Heike, Gun Powder, Emerald van ’t Ruytershof, Beauville Z, Van Gogh and Sapphire. Twelve foals were bred out of mares that have themselves competed at a minimum level of 1.30m. One notable example is Kincaid AG Z (s.Kassander van ’t Roosakker), a son of the Grand Prix mare Tinkabell 12, who enjoyed success under Rodrigo Pessoa and competed in the Nations Cup Final in Barcelona. In addition, six foals were bred out of mares that have already produced offspring competing at a minimum level of 1.45m, while 22 foals are bred out of half-sisters to international 1.50/1.60m level showjumpers.

Proven and emerging sires
On the sire side, the collections also offer an interesting combination of proven names and young talent. Alongside established sires such as Hardrock Z, Verdi, Baltic VDL and Chacco Blue, emerging sires including A Moonlight Speciale Z, Tiger van ’t Ruytershof and Pagani of the Paddocks are also represented. Around 30 foals will be auctioned online on both Thursday, 24 September and Friday, 25 September. The complete collections are now available. After registering as a bidder, bids can be placed online.
