Quality rewarded with highest average price ever at Limburg Foal Auction

Almost 80 showjumping foals changed hands today during the 26th edition of the Limburg Foal Auction. The collection once again attracted considerable international interest, contributing to a highly satisfactory average price of more than €11,200, without any extreme outliers. The United Touch S son Winning Touch by Nature was the top selling foal at Peelbergen Equestrian Centre, fetching €26,000.

More than half of the foals sold for at least €10,000 and four foals exceeded the €20,000 mark. Three of them were sold to buyers from the United States: Winning Touch by Nature (s.United Touch S, €26,000), Diastar VM Z (s.Diaron, €22,000) and Weludine VHR (s.Cape Coral RBF Z, €21,000). The Emerald van ’t Ruytershof daughter E Paris Z will remain in the Netherlands after selling for €21,000.

Top edition
Without any extreme outliers, a highly satisfactory average price was achieved, meaning that the vast majority of breeders were able to count on a good return. Something that certainly cannot be taken for granted in the current market. “We are extremely pleased with the results achieved today. It was a top edition, with the highest average price ever. The concept still works: we have a strong breeding region with loyal breeders presenting quality foals, and we have a very strong client base. These are realistic prices that give breeders a solid return on their efforts. My compliments to everyone who contributed to this successful auction,” said Paul Hendrix. Buyers from countries including Germany, Sweden, Finland, South Africa, France, the United Arab Emirates, Ireland and Switzerland invested in the future today at the Limburg Foal Auction. On Thursday 24 and Friday 25 September, almost 30 foals will be offered on each day in the online edition of the Limburg Foal Auction.
