Quality and diversity in the Limburg Foal Auction collection
20 August 2018
After a record breaking edition of the Limburg Foal Auction in 2017, the selection committees got a overwhelming offer from the breeders this year. The trust of the breeders has resulted in a very interesting collection of 84 jumping foals and 26 dressage foals. They will enter the auction on the 3rd of October at Equestrian Center De Peelbergen.
Since the beginning of the auction, the creation of sales for mainly breeders from Limburg is the most important goal of the auction. Last year a total turnover of more than one million Euro was realized for the first time, and this year there were many foals registred for the selection days. The selection committees have compiled an interesting collection, including showjumping bred foals descending from well-known stallions. The majority of the foals originate from solid damlines and several foals are bred out of mares who have performed in the international sport. The 2018-collection of the Limburg Foal Auction also offers high-quality dressage foals, sired by successful stallions like world champion Glamourdale, top progenitor Painted Black and the sensational Secret as well as a filly bred out of the full sister of Olympic champion Valegro.
