Outdoor season has started off well for LFA references

12 April 2023

While the first foals can be registered for the selection of the Limburg Foal Auction from this week, a number of horses sold in the past are performing well in international classes. Now that the outdoor season has opened, it is a good time to list a few of those recent achievements.

The eight-year-old Kolivar (Colestus x Plot-Blue, breeder Mattie Habraken from Sint-Oedenrode) has, after being sold in the Dutch Sport Horse Sales in 2021, been a combination with Victor Luminatti since early 2022. This outstanding horse was part of the collection of the Limburg Foal Auction in 2015 and at the CSI4* in Arezzo they finished fifth in the 1.45m class after a clear round. Lyminka B (Emir R x Chicago Z, breeder Familie Berben from Meijel), which was auctioned in 2016, delivered a great performance at the national competition in Wellington. Under Brittni Raflowitz she jumped as the fastest four-faulter to the sixth prize in the 1.35m class for seven-year-olds. Last month, Goliath (Zirocco Blue VDL x Mermus R, breeder Jan Pen from Wilbertoord), among others, made good publicity. This gelding, sold in 2011 via the Limburg Foal Auction, jumped to the seventh place with Addison Reed in the national 1.45m Grand Prix of Ocala. Another talent sold through the Limburg Foal Auction is the Cape Coral RBF Z daughter La Luna Especiale (ds.Chacco-Blue, breeder Jack Verstappen), with which Johan Bergs finished third at the CSIYH1* in Kronenberg in February. This class was at 1.30m level.
