More than 150 foals present at selection day Limburg Foal Auction

17 July 2017

There has been an unprecedented interest in the last selection day of the Limburg Foal Auction, which takes place in Weert this afternoon. The selection committee has to choose which of the more than 150 foals present will become part of the final collection. The chosen foals will go under the hammer at the Limburg Foal Auction in Kronenberg on September 27th.

After promising selection days in Panningen, Wanssum, Den Hout and Koningsbosch it is now the turn to Weert. The counter of the selected foals now stands at 64, but this will undoubtedly increase today. The selection committee stands for the difficult task of selecting the most talented foals from the more than 150 foals. The jumping committee consists out of Paul Hendrix, Cor Loeffen and Harrie Derks. The members of the dressage committee are Gertjan van Olst, Trudi Houwen and also Harrie Derks.

Popular sires
The most popular sires of the 108 jumping foals are the stallions Aganix du Seigneur and Berlin. The stallions Vagebond de la Pomme, Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve, Maestro van de Bisschop, Numero Uno, Ultimo van ter Moude, Dallas, and Comme il Faut are also well represented.

The beautiful stallions Glock’s Toto Jr., Habanna and High Five US have the most descendants of the in total 49 dressage foal present in Weert today. In addition, there are also descendants of Glock’s Johnson, Totilas and Guardian S.

Promising collection
