Paul Hendrix: “The collection is getting bigger and better each year”

28 August 2017

The collection of the 17th edition of the Limburg Foal Auction is live now. On Wednesday September 27th at Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen in Kronenberg, 113 foals will go under the hammer. Initiator and member of the selection committee Paul Hendrix: “The number is greater than ever, but nevertheless we have not made any quality concessions.”

He continues: “This year we succeeded again in putting together a very interesting collection of foals. The collection is getting bigger and better each year. This says a lot about the strength of  Limburg and the surrounding area. ”

The collection consists out of 27 dressage and 86 jumpers. It is clear that the jumpers have the upper hand. This is also a good reflection of the proportions within the breeding area. The foals in the auction are descendants from both proven and young stallions, which shows that the Limburg Foal Auction is progressive.

In the meanwhile, many foals sold via our auction have become international sports horses and approved stallions. Paul: “That makes us proud. Together with the breeders we have been able to deliver these horses successfully to hundreds of new owners. We hope to be able to continue to do this for years. That will also succeed because of the enormous international interest that exists for our auction. ”

We hope to welcome you at Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen and wish you a successful auction.
