1.50m victory for La Luna Especiale

Just over three weeks after La Luna Especiale was named LVV Horse of the Year, she claimed her first major international victory this evening. The mare, auctioned in 2016, proved unbeatable under Frank Schuttert in the 1.50m class at CSI3* Indoor Friesland.

During the 25th edition of the Limburg Foal Auction, breeders Jack and Lilian Verstappen and owner Marco Zeekaf were recognized during the Horse of the Year celebration. Earlier this year, La Luna Especiale delivered her first performances at 1.50m-level, and in Leeuwarden, the nine-year-old elite mare once again showed her exceptional class under Frank Schuttert, finishing almost 2.5 seconds ahead of the runner-up in the Congres Unchained Prix (1.50m).
