The annual Limburg Foal Auction is organised by the Limburg Foal Auction Foundation.
The Limburg Foal Auction mainly selects foals from breeders in the province of Limburg. This province is known for its excellent show jumping stud farms. Each year our selection committee manages to select foals from excellent sporting blood lines, bred for both show jumping and dressage.
In its short existence, the Limburg Foal Auction has established an excellent reputation. Every year more and more breeders are finding their way to Limburg and more and more buyers - both national and international - visit the auction location, dressage and show jumping hall 'De IJzeren Man' in Weert.
Once a year, in September or October, 60 to 80 first-class foals are auctioned: show jumping foals, dressage foals as well as one or more pregnancies of sport horses that are highly valued for their lineage.
